Now that I am playing around with environment.plist, I am aware of how much old junk is still in some of my shell files. I have found cargo-cult style things I remember from my first unix shell account, and a lot of stupid ways of doing things that I now do better if I have to write them out (rather than use the aliases I defined).
People say computers are dumb, but computers sure make me feel dumb---so where am I on the intelligence ladder? Dumber and slower and less precise than a computer. :)
