My Palm::Magellan::NavCompanion relies on Andrew Arensburger's p5-Palm package which has a very nice interface to the Palm file formats. Unfortunately, the current distro wasn't indexed by PAUSE because it had an underscore in the version string (1.003_000), and since the CPAN Testers couldn't find it, my Palm::Magellan::NavCompanion gets FAIL reports (if you can't load the prereqs, just stop!).
I figured Andrew might have disappeared since the last release was in November of 2002, but he responded to my email about the problem in 5 minutes and agreed to let me update the distro and upload it. p5-Palm-1.006 is in PAUSE and will make it around to the CPAN mirrors soon.
Even though the last distro was 4 years ago, that didn't mean it was dead. It's just wasn't in need of any fixes. With only one ticket in RT (although, for a failure in installation), it was pretty much as good as it ever was. It still works for me.
