"Benchmarking Perl" slides online

The slides from my "Benchmarking Perl" talk at Chicago UniForum are on my website. There's actually not that much Perl in the talk since I figured most people could read the Benchmark.pm docs for themselves, and the audience appreciated that sinc eit left me more time to make snarky comments about other things. If any other user groups are interested in this talk, I'd love to give it a couple more times. :)

Andy Lester promises to add a section to his website about how meaningless "efficiency" is, sorta like I went through a lot of definitions of "performance" and other things.

Nice slides

Nice read. I'm sure it's a lot more fun with the running commentary. Next time you're in Boston, I'd love to see it!

I'll see what I can do to arrange a Boston trip ...

I like it. I probably would have put the profiling stuff sooner though. Why SmallProf? I always find DProf more useful.

In the talk, I go through a lot of stuff that people could use. Devel::SmallProf is easy to show because it outputs human readable stuff the quickest. I wasn't picking it over anything else though.
