"Perl Design Patterns"

PriorityHealth sponsored my talk on Design Patterns in Perl (PDF) at Friday's Grand Rapids Perl Mongers. The crowd was a lot larger than I expected (although not more than I could handle), and already quite aware of design patterns, even if they hated the whole idea.

I'd like to get back to Grand Rapids for some more talks, but I'm willing to visit other Perl Mongers groups too. :)

Copenhagen?

What does it take to have you come by Copenhagen/Denmark?

I'd love to come to Denmark. My wife will be in London from April to August. I don't know the details when I'll be out there to visit (June-ish probably), but I can get myself across the Atlantic on my own.

What would really help is doing a Stonehenge Perl class for pay. I could then use that money to cover my expenses to travel to the various European groups. :)

Oh, I will see what I can arrange...

We have the Nordic Perl Workshop i Oslo in June BTW.

Not to forget you'll be in Germany in September to teach the Perl Bootcamp at the Big Nerd Ranch Europe. Another chance for a short trip to Denmark :)

I look forward to meeting you there!

I don't think The Big Nerd Ranch thing is official yet. :)

September is going to be busy for me though, so I probably will want to make that trip as short as possible. It's the one month my wife and I will both be at home at the same time. :)
