Sebastian removed his post which started the public discussion on the Class::DBI debacle! Let's see if we can get everyone to back down and all be friends again. :)
Thanks Sebastian. :)
And you thought Iraq was quarrelsome...

Sorry to see you take some much flack on this, brian. On the other hand, it makes for an excellent
dramedy. Or is it tragumentary? Let's just called it "Must see Reality".

I don't like it. Giving into frivolous threats only encourages more of the same. To do it just because you are sick of the squabbling is one thing, but to avoid frivolous legal action just means the next time someone says something someone else wants removed, they can just threaten and expect it to be removed eventually.
And for those who want a faster pace

There's DBIx::Class - a new currently-experimental project to create an ORM inspired by Class::DBI, but with much more powerful join/prefetch/view support and more emphasis on resultsets as well as rows.
DBIx::Class also provides a Class::DBI compat layer which is already capable of passing the vast majority of the Class::DBI test suite and is accumulating tests of its own and active committers at a good rate. For those who're interested -
