In my O'Reilly weblog, I ranted about a bad experiencce with a public relations person, and now I'm getting all sorts of interesting and friendly mail from PR people.
I thought gossip was bad in the open source world, but these people love a good counter example that they can show off. Maybe some of the "softer" fields have trouble codifying the right way to do something so they just stay away from the wrong way to do it.
