Who wants to own XML::RSS?

brian_d_foy on 2004-02-11T21:37:12

I revived XML::RSS from near death, set up a sourceforge project for it, and let a lot of people update it.

I don't keep up with RSS technology, and I do not have time to work on the module, so I need to pass it on to someone else, including the sourceforge project and anything else that goes with it.

I can help

If you still need someone to take this, contact me out-of-band at my regular e-mail address.

happy to continue

hi brian,

it hasn't been my top priority, but i'm happy to continue w/ xml::rss. i had an email out to the perl-xml list for insight on the encoding issues. i suppose i was waiting for that, before going forward, and realising a new version. (seems silly to do a release just to quell warnings)

might be worth sending a note to rss-workers list?

I'm sure you guys can figure it out. Just tell me who to transfer the module to. I made Ed Summers an admin on the SourceForge project, which means he can move things around once everyone agrees on what is going to happen.

At least the module is still alive :)

I'll readily defer to someone with more familiarity over the code itself.

Whoever takes over the module, feel free to crib ideas from XML::RSS::SimpleGen.
