The Perl Review is open source in that you can play with all of the source that we use, including a couple revisions of the articles, the LaTeX formatting, and the scripts that make it happen. It is all in public CVS on SourceForge.
I just got mail from someone who took all of that, modified it a bit, and created their own magazine that actually went on to dead trees.
That is very cool.
They are in Portuguese and, please, do not check them until tomorrow 8:00 AM 0GMT, as the machine is down (and I'll be there to give it power).
