Andy sent me a list of modules to transfer, so most of SPOON's CPAN stuff now has new owners. Andy has control of Iain's PAUSE account and should be able to work all that magic without a PAUSE admin now.
If any other PAUSE admins see funny things happening in that account, it is probably Andy or I providing good homes for code.
Taking up where someone else left off is the best tribute, in the sense of Perl, for which anyone could hope. These modules will become a living memorial.
Andy and the others who took up the maintenance deserve a great deal of thanks.
Sometimes, I despair at the possibility of having on-line communities. They seem so virtual and transient. Things like this restore my faith in the possibility of having true Internet Communities.

Thanks for the kind words. It's funny you should refer to use as heroes, since I've been meaning to write something about "what is a hero of open source".I'm not taking over all his modules, mind you, just helping redistribute. Some of them I am, but some I'm not.
