I am most of the way to finishing my command line reader for the O'Reilly weblogs, and I have put my first efforts in my SourceForge project. It is just like my journal reader, although it does not use SOAP. Sadly, the XML link on the individual weblogs page is an RSS sort of thing rather than the entry in XML.
The module name is orn-weblogs. Do not be fooled by a similar name that represents a big botch job of a CVS import.
