A long standing item on my "wish list" has been to build my very own weather station that logs various weather parameters (tempurature, humidity, barometric pressure, wind speed, wind direction etc) to a database so I can publish that information to my website.
Well the magazine Nuts & Volts Magazine has an article series that is giving this project a huge leg up.
What does any of this have to do with Perl?
Well of course, the actual storage of data into a database is going to be done in Perl. Expect to see entries of this ongoing project here as I have time to work on implementing it and writing the Perl code.
