After a great turnout at our meeting last month, I hope we can continue the trend. This month we are honoured with two guest speakers. First fresh from his TPF presentation at YAPC::Europe, Curtis "Ovid" Poe will be talking about lexing. Also joining is a local LUG member, Alex Willmer, who will be talking about cool GPS things. Also featuring in his debut presentation is our very own Colin Newell, who will be presenting a lightning talk with his experiences of learning Perl.

Talks:

The bundle of talks on offer this month are:

  • Lexing without parsing (HOP::Lexer) [ Curtis Poe ]
  • How I Learnt Perl (LT) [ Colin Newell ]
  • GPS and Geospatial Information Systems with Linux [ Alex Willmer ]

As always entry is free, no knowledge of Perl is required, and we'd be delighted to have you along. Feel free to invite family, friends and colleagues ;)

These are the rough times for the evening:

  • food available: 6.00-7.30pm
  • talks: 8.00-9.30pm
