RT Spam

So this is the next avenue to cause much irritation for all concerned. If you're able to search for the bugs raised by this user, you'll find several entries.

Just as I finish listening to Jesse Vincent talking to Josh on his Perlcast interview, saying that there is a reason why you can't delete RT tickets. We now have a reason why we do need to delete tickets.

Though this has posed a question. Where is the button to report abuse of the RT system, or at least the address for the administrator? It would be nice for someone to remove all existence of this spammer. Would the admin be Jesse, Robert, Ask or someone else?

Oi, I got one too!

The short version

is that we use perl.org's spam-filtering infrastructure. I'll let Robert answer the question of what the right way to help him and ask improve spam filtering is. I've pointed him at this thread.

I can understand that the occasional spam might get through, but it was more knowing who was the correct person to alert to the problem. There isn't anything in the footnotes of the pages that has a contact address, apart from Best Practical, and I wasn't so sure you would be the appropriate person to send a mail to.
