Prefering Gnome to KDE and RH9 having BlueCurve, most of last week was spent backing all the content of my laptop. I then began the big reinstall. It proved rather traumatic, as I ended up needing more disk space than I have (only a 2G drive) and RH9 insists you can MUST install Postgresql even though all my development is on MySQL. There are a few entries like this which ended up me having to make the boot and swap partitions alot smaller. I'm still reinstalling stuff, but hopefully I'll be finished tonight before my trip to Paris.
Another reason I wanted to reinstall, was that the two bays for my network card didn't seem to work. However, I now get the error "No known IRQ for interrup PinA of device 00:13.0. Please try using pci=biosirq", and the same for PinB. I think this means the thing it's knackered, but will have to figure how I set pci=biosirq first.

RH9 installs GRUB, so will look there. Cheers.
