Yesterday was my first day at MessageLabs. Most will know that this is also where MattS works too.
I was very apprehensive on Monday night, wondering if I was up to the job, but as it turns out they have got me working on an automated upgrade distribution system, which was one of things on the menu to do with the QIIS intranet system. Then again there were so many things on that TODO list I doubt we would have got around to it for over a year.
It's nice to fall into a job where you can virtually hit the ground running. Perhaps that's just my experience coming to the fore, but how times have you started somewhere only to sit around for weeks waiting for someone to give you something to do rather than reading the documents?
