Day 154: Back to the seven seas.

Finally I have recovered enough to show up on #perl6, collect the hackathon revelations as a p6l post, as well as fixing some release-blocking bugs. Sadly, my Haskell Workshop 2005 paper got rejected, due more to the presentation than the content. The reviews from the program committee are tremendously helpful; I intend to learn from them and submit it again next year.

However, I will still come to Estonia and present Pugs at CUFP. Strangely how Pugs is seen as more commercial than academic... :-)

Michal Wallace of Pirate (Python on Parrot) project mailed me to coordinate efforts on a common AST for targetting Parrot. I replied on both p6c and the pirate list. It'd be extremely nice of Perl 6 and Python can share not only each other's functions and objects, but also higher-level macros and compiler tools. We'll see how it develops in the days to come.
