Day 126/127: The Day after APW.

APW was a great interesting conference. I'm now in Leo's house, in the same room as Chip Leo Boogie Jens and working out the attack plans for the next 10 days.

My laptop's motherboard just died on me an hour ago, randomly flashing lights... I unpacked it and found a loose metallic pad in it shifting randomly; after taking it out it survives again (so far). Pray for me that it keeps working.

STM for parrot has just been discussed; it's quickly infecting us so we natrually think concurrency in STM's terms only. Jens offered to help me on converting the hw2005 paper (due tomorrow) to TeX. It's good that I delayed the final section of my paper, compiling Pugs to Parrot, until this moment.

Also what I'd like to explore is to have a perlembed thing in Parrot where it can just link the system libperl and use PMCs as thin proxy of SVs, unlike ponie which would need a recompile of Perl. That will make the use DBI--perl5 directly compilable to Parrot.
