This guy is my new hero, despite the ugly web site (with now one but 2 splash pages. eek!).
Frankly, as far as I'm concerned there's nothing cooler in this world than performing solo operas in a loincloth, singing in four voices (ranges), dancing, and playing violin. Oh, and it's all in a language he made up!
I can't wait for my next trip to New York because I desperately want to see him live. I'm just afraid that I won't get there until it's two cold, and then I'll have to wait until the spring. Gah!
I wish I could figure out how to organize a performance here, but I'm not a promoter.
There's a documentary about him, appropriately titled Thoth. It's been playing various film festival circuits and I highly, highly recommend seeing it if you get the chance.
Seeing someone do exactly what they want to do, know matter how strange, is a beautiful, beautiful thing.
