Damn, I wanted to go to TPC this year but none of my talks were accepted and my financial position this year hasn't been so great.

OTOH, I do go to Taiwan for 5 weeks of unbelievably intense heat and humidity in 12 days, so that's something to look forward to. Actually, despite the heat, I am looking forward to it quite a bit. I need a break.

Seeing as Minneapolis Perl Mongers haven't done anything for quite a while it might be time for a we're-not-at-TPC wednesday gathering at some place for a beer/non-alcoholic-drink?

Well, this Wednesday I'm busy but if you want to organize something for next Wednesday that'd be cool. After that I'll be in Taiwan.

No unbelievably intense heat in SD, but the hotel is thoroughly refrigerated, which is bad for those of us in the standard geek T-shirt.
