Fabian Pascal is the grumpiest man alive!
I love reading his articles, which can be summarized as "you're all fools who don't know WTF you're doing but you're too much of a dumbass to even know you don't know squat!"
Chris Date, who also writes articles available at the above site, is pretty damn grumpy too, but not as grumpy as Pascal. Date does appear to have crazy-hair though, which gives him mucho points.
Of course, you'd be grumpy too if you practically invented the RDBMS (Date) concept only to never see the idea implemented properly.
In all seriousness, their articles are quite interesting, as was Pascal's Practical Issues in Database Management. Now if only there was a _real_ RDBMS that worked the way they say one should work, that would be very, very cool.
