I've been programming Perl since 1995 for Dionysius Web Development Studios, and for three years before that wrote my own HTML code, before that coding and running bulletin boards using BASIC and 12/2400 baud modems. I have also had limited experience with using Gopher, FTP, WAIS, and Hypercard for hypertext installations. Currently I am a Technical Writing Geek and developer.

Most important tip regarding the site: if you want to hang out with everyone else rather than just write for yourself, you can see everything that gets posted to the journals by submitting an empty search in the journals section. The results page also has a (fulltext!) feed, in case you’re into RSS.
