It's really helpful that people help by testing out modules that are loaded onto CPAN. However at the same time, the automated test reports that come back don't always really help figure out what went wrong. When the test failure occurs on an alien platform that I don't have easy access to (e.g. Windows) it's even harder to figure out what went wrong.
Some testers are really helpful and are keen to help. I don't like to bug them too much as they are often busy people, and the test is automated and not something they even paid any attention to. Invariably the most puzelling failures are reported by people that never respond to email requests for more information.
