For work I need to tinkering with XML files. I knew that there was an easy way of doing what I wanted, and sure enough there was a nice example on Perlmonks that mostly worked. Today, I trawled though my Perl-XML archives, and I found a solution that did exactly what I wanted. In fact I've wanted to do this before, and I wish I'd found it before!
Open data exchange is good, it saved me time, and hence my employer money for me to find this out quickly. It's a shame that so many companies take a parasitic attitude, you can use open source, but you mustn't contribute back (in case......).
Though unrelated to this, I do plan on writing up a nice Perl Success Story for our move to using the SAP::Rfc module instead of a complex Java application sever, for Perl.com.
