Red Hat Certification

Work has agreed to send me on a Red Hat RHCT course (RH133) this November. If all goes well I'll go on their RH253 course in the spring and then take the RH302 RHCE exam.

While I think certification is a bit artificial, and no substitute for real experience, PHBs like it. The training should be interesting though, and I'm sure I'll learn something useful.

Lucky you

I wish I had the cash to get the 302 exam for myself. I've got the book here from Osborne, (IIRC it was the RHL 9 or 8 version, so I probably should get a newer one) but just haven't got the cash to pay for it myself and being self employed (sorta) ...

*sigh*

Well so far they have only agreed to pay for RH133 course, but have accepted that I need to do the RH253, and in theory they will pay for RH302. However, it's not been signed off yet, so I have to wait...
