Gecko as a IE ActiveX plug-in for IE

Today I had an evil thought, after suffering so much at the hands of "The IE Factor" of late. What I want is a IE ActiveX component that pulgs into IE, and replaces the IE rendering engine, with the Mozilla Gecko one - or Opera or khtml, I'm not fussy.

IE user can keep their crappy interface, but the rendering core would be some thing decent. Ideally it should be auto-installed, set as default and encouraged by many sites.

Actually, I'm sure someone has thought of this already, and no doubt someone has even tried, but I want all IE browsers upgraded, and I want it now.....

I think it's out there...

I think I saw a Flash-based fully-HTML4+CSS2-compliant browser as a plugin a couple of years ago, but I can't seem to find it now.

I know. I just wish it was popular! Apparently you can run the Gecko rendering engine as an ActiveX component, so it's apparently easy to add into Windows applications, I just want everyone with IE to run it now!
