Blosxom

I've been running Blosxom for a few days at home. It's rather good, and even though it's "simple", it's flexible enough to manage nice templated pages, and with good xhtml/css design you can produce a really neat result with suprisingly little effort.

Though it's great as a light weight blogging tool, I actually think it makes a good "news" presenting tool for a small corporate web site. Who needs a complex CMS, that can't even produce valid xhtml, when blosxom and other fine Perl tools can do it?

Bloxsom rocks

I use it at work and love it. However, my main beef is that it's all too easy to create non xhtml content. Because I'm lazy I haven't gotten off my derriere and fixed this yet. :-)

It is really dead easy to use and work with.

I'm careful with my xhtml, but you are correct, it could be easy for others to mess everything up with poor xhtml.

Though storys aren't ment to be full xhtml documents in their own right, it should be possible to use something to check them for well formedness at least. If you remove the title and wrap the rest up in a root element, XML::LibXML can do wonders.
