I've been playing with Parrot recently, which is really cute. A couple of people have been hacking on it recently, and I expect we'll really flesh it out and do cool stuff soon. I've played around doing a Java virtual machine to Parrot virtual machine converter. It's just a toy for now, but a very cute toy indeed. Basically, it'll take random (simple!) Java .class files and convert it to Parrot assembly. There's no real reason why it couldn't be a complete Java->Parrot converter (other than my free time ;-).
I had a lovely lunch at a fancy restaurant in Fulham (Aubergine), just by the Goat in Boots pub we used to frequent as students (ask me about "Aggie's Orgasm" sometime). It was great. I had a salmon confit, which was perfect, and of course a chocolate mousse for dessert...
We drive back home, get a call from my sister, turn on the radio and then the end of the world happened. But you know about that already.
Live on...
