I've been playing with SDL (Simple DirectMedia Layer), which is a basically a kind of fast, portable multimedia library. I remember the good old days where everyone and their little kid brother wrote demos and small games using STOS (well, and then moving on to 68000, wowing at The Carebears and The Lost Boys demos).
Thus, it's nice to find a Perl binding for SDL. I've played around a little bit, doing a simple script where 20 bubbles follow your mouse pointer and so on. SDL.pm is a little clunky and underdocumented, but it works. Now, all I need is some graphic design skills, a little more free time, and maybe I can build something as polished as Frozen Bubble, a very addictive Perl game...
