Well, I went to the rubylondon social last night, not knowing what to expect. We drank beer, talked with the two Ruby programmers who turned up to the annual rubylondon meet, and muttered about Parrot. Yes, more London.pm-ers turned up than, errr, London.rb-ers. No, they didn't know about the next version of Ruby. We talked a little about who is using Ruby (mostly people who know Perl...) and weren't convinced by their arguments as to why we should switch.
I think Ruby is a little more popular in Japan and the US than it is in Europe...
