I only have three meraki minis but I was wondering how they scale if you have more of them. One of the Meraki FAQs is:
- Will I lose throughput over multiple wireless hops?
- Yes, throughput decreases with each hop. We generally advertise that the loss per hop is half the total throughput, but the technical equation looks like this: 1/(2.5^(n-1)) (n = number of hops)
Well, you know how I like equations. Now that Google finally added charts to "Google Docs & Spreadsheets" (my, that is a long name), I present pretty chart: Throughput through meraki mesh. Summary: wifi is very fast and you can probably get away with a few hops, but you need gateways every so often.
Ouch

That's a pretty steep decline, so a 50Mb wifi after 6 hops becomes 500Kb wifi...
Nice post

I learned two nifty things:
-about the Meraki Mini, which seems very cool to me
-what a public spreadsheet from Google D & S looks like...
Thanks
