SWF is not PDF

I've been doing a lot of 2D vector format munging at work recently - hey, I even wrote a little PDF interpreter which munges PDF to Flash. I think I might have had a dream about vectors. Flash isn't quite as evil as I remembered. The most annoying thing is that Flash's drawing primitives are much more, errr, primitive than PDF's. Adobe (the PDF people) bought out Macromedia (the Flash people) last year. I can but hope that they add support for dashed lines, line cap styles and line join styles. Pretty please!

hoping...

As someone who has worked with both SWF and PDF for a long time (CAM::PDF, SWF::NeedsRecompile, FLV::Info) I can suggest that while you're hoping for advanced graphic features in SWF, you should not postpone critical activities like breathing. :-)
