Mmm, custard tarts. Jan-Pieter Cornet introduced us to Email filtering with MIMEDefang. MIMEDefang is a Perl-based mail filter for Sendmail using milter. He covered hardware (cheap boxes, layer 4 balancer), designing software, and testing (community testing: spamassassin the slowest part). An interesting talk on how XS4ALL handle spam.
