YAPC::Europe Day 1: Opening Keynote

YAPC::Europe 2005 is on right now in Braga, Portugal! Looks like we all managed to find our way here and I bumped into Perl mongers hanging around by the large fountain in town. The conference starts today and after a very funny introduction by Jose Castro (summary: fishnets, also orange tshirts and hats!) Larry Wall gave us an Opening Keynote. This was part of his "how to build a community" talk (basically about being tolerant and how to make change) and then more about Perl 6. The language has changed since I last looked at it and I'm loving it more and more as it's looking more like Haskell. As obra says: "I want that now!"
