My first conference of the year will be FOSDEM in Brussels. I'll be there with davorg and jeb and I'm looking forward to meeting lots of cool European open source hackers (and hacking in the hallways!). See you there...

wasteSure, he's not going to let you go if that's how you sell the advantages of it to him. Take your example from the British Government - put some positive spin on it, and see if that makes your case sound better.

Well, we're all for the open source stuff.. I work in a linux shop but I'm not sure I can convince my boss to let me go... We're doing a number of IT fairs around that time as well so I'm not sure I can be missed. I probably CAN convince him to let me go to Belfast though.ENOPMGROUP

You mean that there's no active local
.pm
in the area capabable of organising an emergency social meeting, hence you're having to do it yourself? If so, are you able to find somewhere suitable starting with D, so that you can cause this meeting to be the founding of a new.pm
group?Re:ENOPMGROUP

The conference is on the weekend, so that shouldn't be a problem;-) Re:Let's meet
