Bart Trojanowki gave a Git presentation to the Ottawa Ruby Group earlier this month (I attended as a deep undercover Perl mole). The slides and the podcast are now available at http://excess.org/article/2008/07/ogre-git-tutorial.
Very good presentation, meant as an introduction to the beast, but containing enough little nudgets to have anyone learn something from it.
I went through this post/the linked presentation last night. After upgrading to Leopard (fresh install), I decided to install git instead of svk.
Always late to the party I am.

It's actually a pretty good time to join the fun. By now, Git itself had has most of its rough edges polished off, ports to cygwin and the general Win32 worlds are (iirc) getting usable, and good tutorials are popping left and right like mushrooms (which is good, 'cause it takes a little while to wrap one's head over Git).
So you're not as much late as getting to the party at that strategic time when the furniture has been moved off the dance floor, the ambiance has warmed up and the kegs are not yet empty. So grab a stein, and join the fun. Happy Gitting!
