"Sleep won't come, so you lie there waiting
Looking at the silvery light
Telling yourself there's nothing new
So whatever gets you through the night"
-- Gerry Rafferty
I received space heater #6 today, an older SGI Octane I'm naming buttons. (I name my machines after Animaniacs characters. It fits my internal IdioCity.nut domain.) Of course, I failed to remember that it has the old Sun/SGI monitor connector, so it's just sitting there staring at me now. I spent a while trying to boot single and configure the network blind, but had no luck. Hopefully the company has one I can borrow for a night.
So instead, I tackled the redacting I promised to do on our company's new write-ups. (I had complained bitterly that the bulk of the company was poorly represented in our public presence. So they gave me the proofs of round two. I hope they weren't final....) It's been four years since I've done editing as a professional, but I had plenty to retrain myself on, and that was limiting myself just to grammar. Now if I'd just take the time to edit myself more closely.
