Kind of sad for a first entry, don't you think?
I guess the main reason I'm writing here is that I can't login to Perl Monks today, and I'm having withdrawal. I know they were moving to a new server, and I hope nothing is seriously wrong. Last time I thought the site was out of commission, it was just a bad DNS entry. But Chris Wren's site doesn't show any logons, and Crazy's chatterbox monitor has been stuck on the same 35 lines since this morning. Nate Oostendorp and Tim Vroom: good luck, wherever you are. Wish I knew a way to help.
I have to decide whether to go YAPC or TPC this summer. YAPC is cheap but far, and TPC is close but expensive. Right now the odds are on TPC because I could take the family for some vacation as well. I may wait until programs are announced before finally deciding.
