Recommendations for web designer?

Any recommendations for a good web design person or group, preferably in Southern California? Our company's website hasn't been updated in a while and could use some freshening up.

It's a static site: marketing info, contact information, and the like. In other words, all graphic design, no programming. But I figured since a lot of people here are involved in building web sites, maybe I could get a reference for a good graphic designer too.

Can I recommend myself?

My name is Shlomi Fish, and I'm a software developer (and among else web-designer) from Tel Aviv, Israel. (very far from Southern California, I'm afraid). I've been designing web-sites for a long time now, and most of my major creations were static HTML sites.

You can take a look at some of the sites I built:

• My personal homepage - where you can learn all about me.
• The Better-SCM Site - this is the site I most recently worked on. I invested a lot of effort in it, and am very happy with the results.
• The Perl Beginners' Site - a web-site for Perl beginners.
• Freecell Solver Homepage - this is one of the sites that would need the most work. It is still in pretty good condition.

As you can see, my style is to use valid markup, to design usable, simple and lightweight sites with little flare and chrome that gets in the way. My page looks are not eye-popping, but they are attractive and usable.

I tend to use Web Meta Language, HTML-Widgets-NavMenu, GNU make, bash, and perl for creating and managing my sites.
