Last weekend, with the wildfires blazing, we shut all the doors and windows, and hid inside with the A/C going. Outside was hot and miserable. The air smelled of smoke and tasted like ashes.
This weekend, a little rain and cool weather cleaned the air. The sky is a beautiful limpid blue, and cottony clouds are scudding across the mountaintops. It's just a little fall-nippy. The contrast is amazing.
