Dear Log,
Worked on the last big arcane corner of Secret Project R today -- it's officially downhill from here. Digging up buried information on the Net is all just a matter of a pointedly oblique Google query -- a query that's sometimes built of words/phrases that don't define the topic but which come up in a discussion of it.
Meanwhile, Perldoc 3 looks like I'm about done with it -- one more round of double-checking and I think I'll send it to Hugo.
The Perldoc 3 code uses some 5.6-isms, like open $fh, ">", $file. I wonder whether it's worth the bother to rephrase those in terms that 5.005 can understand. I know there's plenty of people who use 5.005, but maybe it's not the end of the world if they're stuck with their current Perldoc versions.
