Dear Log,
«Enrollment growth in undergraduate computer science departments has come to a halt.»I have a feeling that this will mean a general improvement in the quality of people going into the comp sci programs.--"Tech's Major Decline College Students Turning Away From Bits and Bytes"
"Technology comes natural to people my age; it's not fascinating anymore," Thompson said. "To be honest with you, when I think computer science, I think of some guy sitting behind a computer all day in a dark room. It's a necessity, but I wouldn't take it any further."
Hey! I've got plenty of light in my office!
For purely selfish reasons, I'm looking forward to a derth of competition. If the youngins all want to be rock stars and athletes, that's fine with me. If computers are no longer fashionable, that's actually very desirable to me. At least I won't have to watch _The Net II_.
