"Crime and young people"

Dear Log,

«Children very rarely view themselves as victims of crime, as they seem resigned to it and think it's just the way life is. Young people only start to recognise themselves as victims of crimes such as bullying and robbery when someone talks to them about their experiences. They develop their own strategies for dealing with threats, as they feel that adults rarely listen to their suggestions about how crime could be prevented.»
