Dear Log,
Last night, while trying to write, I was struck by the predictable awfulness of my current set of icons in MSWin. "Blue blur with a wheel in the middle means 'html'? OF COURSE!"
So I went and I found
yet
another utility that should be part of MSWin: a decent icon librarian/editor:
Microangelo.
Result: a new bunch of icons, mostly stolen from the depths of other applications.
Today's bit of cleverness: using a totally transparent/blank icon for backup files ($$$, bak, etc.), and deleting their "Open" action, so that nothing at all happens when you click on them.
