Dear Log,
«"...She said provocatively, 'You've got to wash me. I don't know what
to do. You've got to show me.'"
Bond may call her Honey, but she's all
child, a woman infantilised by a real man. »
--Stuart Jeffries on the repackaging of Bond creator Ian Fleming
A guy who could have a character name "Pussy Galore" in the 1950s and get away with it.
I've eyed the controversial biography of him numerous times in UK bookshops as it covers how he went from high society into MI5 somehow winding up writing the bond books. A curious man whom I think the journalist didn't understand when he claimed Fleming didn't write with a crisp sense of humour.
