I just about fell over laughing at the news that Scottish Power changed its name to "Thus".

Actually, Thus is the old Scottish Telecom, who own Demon, one of the original British ISPs.

Scottish Power is still around, although for some reason they trade as the intercapped ScottishPower: about page.

Aha, digging further it seems that ScottishPower formed Scottish Telecom, who it renamed Thus, floated, and is now divesting.
