Sestinas of mass destruction

Dear Log,

For a second I thought this "Guantanamo poet" thing might be interesting. But then I realized: it's POETRY. And, even worse, it's from an Afghani. This puts the chances of it being good somewhere around 0.0000000000000000000000000000.

And he does not disappoint, with bathos of Vogon proportions:

«Sitting in his library, he quoted a couplet from a favourite poem: "Handcuffs befit brave young men/Bangles are for spinsters or pretty young ladies."

Dost lampooned his military captors, mocking what he perceived as ridiculous - women with men's haircuts, men without beards.»

With my fractally complex morality, I consider bad poetry to be the one crime that would justify being sent to Guantanamo. And yet, the US released this guy. I normally endorse free speech, but clearly an exception has to be made for verse works, rhyming or not.

I worry that that man will never be held accountable for his crimes against poetry.
