Dear Log,
I think it's quite revealing that this whole Danish cartoon ruckus involves supposedly literate (and/or scriptural) societies, and yet the controversy is not about an essay, book, or manifesto (you know, things you read), but instead is about a cartoon.
Further thought: considering the obvious formal and historical similarities between Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, I wonder how many people consider the idiocies of one to reflect on the three as a group.
