Dear Log,
The Great Module Giveaway proceeds apace. A bunch of Pod stuff is now in the dominion of Allison Randal; Games::Alak, Games::Dissociate, and Games::Worms now bask in the glory of their new maintainer, Avi Finkel; HTML-Tree, HTML::Tagset, and Locale::Maketext are now in the very capable hands of Andy Lester; and Jeff Goff now kontrols the horizontal and the vertikal on XML::TreeBuilder, XML::Element, HTML::Formatter, and Sort::Naturally.
That's almost all of the modules that I want to give away; and I'm still talking with some other people who're thinking about some more.
Today, I degaussed my brain by sitting and making a Commodore 64 skin for XMMS.
Then I puttered around outside in the little backyard of the new house. After the past month of almost constant rain, the yard has become "muskeg-y" as the locals say. That is, the yard looks like a wonderful golfing green, but every single inch of it goes "squish" if you step on it, complete with muddy water squirting on your shoes, because the soil under the grass and moss is a bog.
Normally the yard drains passably well, but the little swales (drainage channels) have become choked with grass; I decided that I should free up the swales a bit, before the whole yard turns into a giant oozing mess.
After an hour of hacking and gouging at dense-rooted grass with a large shovel, I came to the conclusion that this was not an ideal task for someone with moderate chronic RSI. I ache, oh how I ache!
Next time, I will get someone else to do it, and/or replace the cumbersome shovel with some sort of labor-saving device with an array of viciously efficient whirling blades that atomize anything they touch, be it grass, roots, peat, soil, muddy water, or any conceivable mix of these things. I require this ease of destruction for my gardening/terraforming.

You'll need to learn to walk backward whilst simultaneously avoiding tilling your feet.
:) The tines might get fouled if you are too zealous, but they can be removed, cleaned, and re-installed in short order.
