Dear Log,

This Schiavo finding is surprisingly readable as court papers go. And it oddly reminds me of Kant in its faith in process and abstractions.

However, the judge's use of huffily grandstanding phrases like "[...] acted in a manner demonstrably at odds with our Founding Fathers' blueprint for the governance of a free people -- our Constitution. Since I have sworn, as have they, to uphold and defend that Covenant [...]" show that this was not a high achievement of concisely equanimous writing. But then, he was appointed by Bush the Zeroeth.
