Reeferendum

Dear Log,

President Piss Christ, when facing the fact that the Iraq war is about as popular in the UK as brain-rot row prions, could have drawn on his privileged and expensive schooling to quote a devastatingly apt Oscar Wilde quote:

[T]o disagree with three-fourths of the British public on all points is one of the first elements of sanity, one of the deepest consolations in all moments of spiritual doubt.
But to read Wilde, or to read at all, is unbefitting so Napoleonic a personality.

So he instead says:

The newspaper asked Mr Bush why no-one had been held responsible for wrong information about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq or mistakes made after the US-led war.

"Well, we had an accountability moment, and that's called the 2004 election," he replied.

"And the American people listened to different assessments made about what was taking place in Iraq, and they looked at the two candidates, and they chose me, for which I'm grateful."

And so, ego illuminates all, and all is right in the world.
